Who files this

Simon, publisher of UK Poker Pros. One person, one desk, no newsroom behind it and no operator in front of it. If a page here reads as though a committee wrote it, that is a fault to report rather than a house style.

How a record gets made

1. The name goes on the sheet with the spelling used on official entrant lists, plus any screen name the player is actually known by.
2. A claim survives only if a public page carries it — an organiser's report, an official player page, established poker press. The page is linked and stamped with the date this desk read it.
3. Everything else is marked TBC — not yet sourced instead of guessed at.
4. Every page carries the date it was last reviewed. A stale page is a fault; an empty one is only an admission.

Corrections

Write to corrections@ukpokerpros.com. Players and their representatives use the same route as everyone else. A correction is made on the page it affects, and the review date on that page changes with it.

Where the blog fits

The blog is where this desk explains itself: method notes and changes to the sheet. Records live under players, never in posts.
