A result has to survive the source being opened

Three kinds of line

1. A dated reading. A public page said it, this desk read that page, and the date of the reading is printed next to the line.
2. An editorial label. Professional, broadcaster who plays, scene regular. These are how the desk files people, not facts it can source from a ledger.
3. A guess. Anything else. It stays off the page, or it sits behind a TBC pip if the identity itself is filed.

Negative findings stay

An empty record is not a broken page. A missing Northern Irish name is an empty column, not a claim about the living scene. A cash is never rewritten as income to make the file look finished.

Corrections

A verifiable error is corrected on the page it affects. The review date on that page changes. Older dated readings are not silently overwritten when a later page says something else — the dates keep them apart.
